Bad Hindelang is a beautiful small town with around 5,000 inhabitants. Nestled deep in the Allgäu Alps near the Austrian border, it is nevertheless easily accessible, making it perfect for an active holiday in the Ostrach Valley/Allgäu region. The A7 motorway brings you almost to your destination, and you can also arrive comfortably by train (Sonthofen station, about 15 minutes from us).

Bad Hindelang lies in the Ostrach Valley on the northern edge of the Limestone Alps, along the historic Salt Road over the Oberjoch Pass, which once connected Hall in Tyrol with Switzerland. With 107 bends, the Oberjoch Pass is considered the most winding road in Germany and leads directly through the spa town.
More than 80% of the municipality of Bad Hindelang is designated landscape and nature conservation area – the Allgäu High Alps Nature Reserve – one of the most species-rich mountain regions in Europe.
