Between sauna and relaxation, enjoy tea, coffee specialties, as well as nuts and dried fruits. In the afternoon, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, a snack with soup and cake complements the offering – all enjoyed comfortably in your bathrobe. And best of all: self-service tea and coffee specialties are included in the price.

Your Questions About Our Wellness Area
Which pools are there – and are they really open all year round?
Yes, without exception: our infinity outdoor pool, the infinity indoor pool with spring water, and the whirlpool are heated and available throughout the entire year – whether there is snow on the mountain peaks or warm summer air in the hills. The outdoor pool is approximately 30 °C in winter and around 28 °C in summer. The indoor pool is slightly warmer at 30–32 °C, and the whirlpool is kept at body temperature. You can open the outdoor pool yourself at any time – the button is located at the entry steps.
Which saunas are there?
Five in total – something for every taste: the Finnish log cabin sauna in the outdoor area (approx. 90 °C), the steam bath, a textile sauna (approx. 80 °C, swimwear welcome), a colour light sauna, and an infrared sauna. The infrared sauna opens as early as 6:30 am – ideal for early risers. The log cabin sauna, steam bath, and textile sauna are open from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm.
When can I use the wellness area?
Daily from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm – from 3:00 pm on your day of arrival, and until 2:00 pm on your day of departure. This means you still have time for a long soak or a sauna session on your last day before heading home.
Is the wellness area included in the room rate?
es, fully. Use of our entire wellness area – pools, saunas, and relaxation areas – is included in every room rate. You will find a bathrobe, sauna towels, hand towels, and bath slippers already in your room. Additional massages and treatments are booked separately.
Should I reserve massages and treatments in advance?
We recommend it – particularly at weekends and during peak season, appointments fill up quickly. The easiest way is to write to us in advance at wellness@luitpoldbad.de, and your preferred appointment will be secured. Booking spontaneously on arrival is of course possible, subject to availability.
Is there an infinity pool with a mountain view?
Twice over, in fact: our outdoor pool looks out across the Allgäu mountain landscape – an experience that is truly unforgettable in winter, with snow-capped peaks in the distance. The indoor pool is also designed as an infinity pool and offers the same panoramic view, regardless of the weather and open all year round.
Are children allowed in the wellness area?
Yes, children are most welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. In the designated relaxation areas, we kindly ask all guests – young and old alike – to keep noise to a minimum, so that everyone can fully unwind. The infrared sauna is generally well tolerated by children; the traditional saunas tend to be more suitable for older guests. The wellness area is usually quieter around midday – a good time for families to visit.
Can day visitors use the spa?
Our wellness area is reserved exclusively for hotel guests – there are no day spa visits or day passes. The reason is simple: we want to ensure that you always have ample space, peace, and privacy. During your stay, the entire area is yours to enjoy.
