Our Tips for Spring in the Allgäu

Here are some of our favorite tips:
To see the crocuses, we recommend:

Hündle between Immenstadt and Oberstaufen. We especially enjoy hiking up in the evening to watch the sunset – you’re almost alone up there at that time.

Sonthofer Hof, about a 45-minute hike uphill from Imberg.

Schwarzenberghütte, about a 1-hour hike uphill from the Giebelhaus.
But in truth, you will find crocuses almost everywhere – even around Café Polite, which is really not far away.
Spring and early summer are also beautiful in many other places.

EXCURSION TIP
A trip to Lake Constance is especially beautiful at this time of year.
Enjoy a sea of flowers on the island of Mainau or visit Lindau.
If you decide to visit Bregenz or take a boat trip on the lake, we can also highly recommend the Kunsthaus Bregenz for art lovers.
As you can see, no one has to be bored in spring here.
And if you’d actually prefer to stay at the hotel, enjoy the sunshine on your balcony, relax in the wellness area, and sip your first Spritz at sunset – we completely understand that too.
