Bad Hindelang is a small comunity with 5000 inhabitants distributed over 6 villages, located in the middle of the alps, close to Austria. It is very well connected via Autobahn (A7) and still a very quiet place.
We are located above Bad Oberdorf - which is a part of Bad Hindelang, like Vorderhindelang, Hinterstein and Oberjoch - with perfect mountain view.
Bad Hindelang is located in the valley of the river Ostrach, at the northern edge of the alpine mountain range. The historically important salt street went through Hindelang and over the so called "Jochpass" in the old times, connecting Hall in Tirol with Switzerland. "Jochpass" is Germanys most winding road (107 turns).
More than 80% of the area of Bad Hindelang are nature protection area - called "Naturschutzgebiet Allgäuer Hochalpen". It is the mountain area in Europe with the most diverse wildlife: chamois, deer, capricorn, eagle, marmot and capercaillie.
