Your Hiking Hotel in the Allgäu – Nature Experiences & Wellness

Our Tips for Hikes & Walks in the Allgäu

We have completed many hiking tours in the Allgäu and have fallen in love with our home again and again. When the sun shines over the mountains. When we walk through the valleys. When we see the summit cross. And when we stop for a cozy break at one of the traditional alpine huts.

At moments like these, we feel proud of our diverse hiking region around Bad Hindelang – and of our hiking hotel in the Allgäu, which is a perfect starting point for varied hikes and walks.

There are beautiful tours for every level: easy, moderate, and also challenging routes for experienced hikers.

Did you know that there is also a “Matterhorn” in the Allgäu? That is the affectionate nickname we give to the striking Rotspitze. But many other mountain peaks and viewpoints also make our hiking hearts beat faster.

Simply taking in nature feels wonderful. Hiking allows you to reconnect with yourself and regenerate deeply – that is hiking and wellness in Bavaria the way we love it.

Discover our offers for your perfect mix of an active holiday and relaxation – and let yourself be completely pampered at our wellness and hiking hotel in the Allgäu.

The Most Beautiful Route to Lake Schrecksee

We had already walked the classic route several times and felt like trying something new. This route is longer, but in our opinion much more pleasant. Route: From the Tannheimer Valley – Neunerköpfle – Landsberger Hut – Schrecksee – and back via Hinterstein
Duration: approx. 6 hours, Difficulty: difficult, Distance: 16 km, Elevation gain: 600 meters

Almost a Must for Hindelang Visitors – The Hirschalpe

A beautiful hike from Oberjoch via Ifenblick to the Hirschalpe.

Duration: about 1.5 hours (one way), Difficulty: moderate, Elevation gain: just under 400 m

As so often in the mountains, many paths lead to the same destination. We chose a route that saves quite a bit of elevation gain. Of course, you can also hike to the Hirschalpe directly from Hindelang, for example via the Hirschbachtobel.

Don’t be surprised: we did this hike in late autumn (see the photos), but it is just as beautiful and easily possible in spring/summertime.

SHORT HIKE TO CAFÉ POLITE

In 2015 Café Polite above Hindelang reopened after a complete renovation. It is now more beautiful than ever, the food is delicious, and the view from the terrace is fantastic.

The hike takes about 40 minutes up and 25 minutes down. If you are lucky, in spring you may see the crocuses blooming again.
